Did Samantha Ruth Prabhu charge Rs. 2 cr to perform a special song & dance for Allu Arjun’s film?

The Allu Arjun Telugu starrer Pushpa: The Rise, which is to release on 17 December, just got bigger. Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been invited to perform a special song and dance for the film. Reportedly the producers Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar have paid a staggering Rs 2 crores for Samantha’s presence.

A source in the know informs, “It is more than what most leading ladies get in Telugu cinema for an entire film. The producers were very keen to have her on board. She brings with her a certain classiness.”

Also, sources reveal, the producers of Pushpa: The Rise desired to demolish the myth that Samantha was being ostracized by major production houses for the fear of offending Nagarjuna Akkenini’s powerful family.

Samantha recently separated from Nagarjuna’s son Naga Chaitanya. “There is no truth to this nasty rumour (that Samantha is being shunned for fear of offending her former in-laws). In fact, Nagarjuna continues to be close to Samantha and wishes her the very best in her career,” a source close to the Akkineni family informs me.
